The Board of Directors
Social Committee Calendar
The new dates for our 2016 social events including the Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Pig Pickin', 4th of July Picnic and Pool Party, Rib Competition, Chili Competition and Christmas Party have been posted. Make your plans!!
The pool is closed for the season and is now locked as are the tennis court gates. Every homeowner has been asked to pick up a key and only a few have not. The water has been turned off in the pool bathrooms for the season. The marina water was turned back on March 8, 2016.
The tennis courts are open for play with both courts available for pickleball. Your pool key opens the tennis court locks also. You may reserve a court using the CONTACT US function and selecting Pool/Tennis. We are pleased to announce that Alice and Ron Keiger won the Southern Tournament in Kiawah in November for the 75 year Mixed Doubles. Great job!!
Volunteer for a Committee
Our volunteers are invaluable and much appreciated. To volunteer for a committee please contact a Board member or committee chair on the Contact Us drop down list.
Hurricane season will begin June 1st.

Boat Safety Inspections
Get your 2016 Vessel Safety Check (VSC) decal. This year our Tangle Oaks neighbor, Capt. Tom Bello of the Cape Fear Sail and Power Squadron, has agreed to inspect boats in the Tangle Oaks marina on Saturdays and Sundays by appointment, beginning March 1st. You can contact him by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 704-965-7050 to schedule an inspection.
Boats that pass the examination are awarded a distinctive VSC Decal that alerts the Coast Guard, Harbor Patrol, and other law-enforcement agencies that your boat was found to be in full compliance with all Federal and State boating laws. Frequently, such agencies will not detain or board boats displaying a current-year decal that are otherwise operating safely. There is no charge, and there are no consequences if you don't pass. Our goal is simply to help make boating as safe as possible for you, your family, and your friends through education.
You can learn more about the Vessel Safety Check at www.safetyseal.net or the Cape Fear Sail and Power Squadron at www.capefearsailandpowersquadron.org
